My excitement soared as my older brother secured us a reservation at the famed floating restaurant, a experience I had not yet to experience. However, our excitement was met with a brief delay as the restaurant prepared our foods, teasing our appetites with each passing minute. To pass the time, my niece and I ventured forth to explore the resort grounds, savoring the beauty that enveloped us. We also took pictures for keeps. I took the time to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings, it makes me feel calm and I could really feel the sense of peacefulness. The lake water, the calming sounds of nature, and the opportunity to connect with the environment would evoke a sense of relaxation which is a good thing already.
Upon boarding the floating restaurant, we were greeted with foods that we ordered , each dish showcasing the diverse recipes of the region's famed tilapia. While the food itself was a gastronomic delight, the same could not be said for the fruit drinks, it is disappointing and otherwise impeccable dining experience. As we indulged in our meal, the floating restaurant started upon its journey, gently gliding across the calm surface of the lake. Midway through our trip, a member of the crew come out as an charismatic speaker, entertaining us with tales of the region's rich history and cultural heritage. Their animated storytelling, coupled with a lively demonstration of traditional T'boli instruments, filled our trip with an enchanting sense of magic and wonder.Looking back, it was not merely a meal but a symphony of experiences, a journey of the senses that go beyond the time and space. From the awe-inspiring landscapes to the captivating narratives that echoed across the water, each moment was an evidence to the timeless attraction of Lake Sebu. As we left to Punta Isla Lake Resort, our hearts are filled with appreciation for the memories that we made.
