Travelogue: Adventure to Sultan Kudarat


Waking up to the soft rays of dawn gently illuminating the room, I could feel the excitement bubbling within me like a pot on the stove. It was finally the day we had been eagerly awaiting, the day of our adventure from our cozy home in Brgy. Namnama to the captivating landscapes of Sultan Kudarat. With a hearty breakfast to fuel our bodies and spirits, we packed our bags, loaded up the car, and embarked on the two-hour journey ahead. As we drove, the scenery outside formed from familiar streets to rolling hills and sprawling fields, each passing mile filling us with excitement for the adventures that awaited us.

Upon our arrival in Sultan Kudarat, the beauty of the landscape greeted us with open arms, calling us to explore its hidden treasures. We found a spot to park our car for a nominal fee of 100 pesos, securing our access to this wilderness wonderland. Additionally, we enlisted the services of a tour guide for 500 pesos, ensuring that our trip would be safe and informative. With our preparations complete, we eagerly set foot on the trail, ready to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature.

As we travel deeper into the wilderness, the trail unfolded before us like a story waiting to be told. Towering trees stretched towards the sky, their leaves dancing in the gentle breeze, while colorful flowers marked the landscape like confetti. Each step along the path revealed new wonders, from hidden streams to panoramic view, captivating our senses and filling us with a sense of wonder. With every twist and turn, grateful for the chance to see such natural beauty up close, we wondered at the intricate structure of life that surrounds us.

After a tiring hike of about half an hour, we reached our first destination: the enchanting Fitan Kligo Sinapulan underground river. Stepping into the cool darkness of the cave, we were greeted by the sight of sparkling blue waters and towering rock formations. It was like stepping into another world, where time seemed to stand still and magic lingered in the air. As we explored the cave's depths, we felt a sense of wonder for the ancient beauty that surrounded us, humbled by the raw power of nature.



Continuing on our journey, we made our way towards our next destination: the majestic 7 Falls. As we approached, the sound of rushing water grew louder, signaling our nearing arrival. Suddenly, the landscape opened up before us, revealing a breathtaking panorama of seven cascading waterfalls tumbling down the mountainside. Each waterfall seemed to dance in the sunlight, its waters shimmering like liquid diamonds as they tumbled gracefully into the puddle below. It was a sight that took our breath away, filling us with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the natural world.

AT BEACH I recall that we set up camp on the beach for the night as the sun sank below the horizon, illuminating the sandy coastlines in a warm glow. We gathered around a roaring bonfire, the perfect lullaby supplied by the repetitive sound of waves smashing on the shore. We ate roasted fish, told stories, and enjoyed the calming sound of the water while the stars twinkled overhead. The soft breeze that brought the aroma of saltwater as the night grew darker served as a reminder of the peace and beauty of the natural world. We said goodbye to the beach, leaving behind footprints in the sand and memories inscribed in our hearts, as morning broke, coloring the sky in shades of pink and orange.
